When this product is first out of its packaging it looks like a bit of a nightmare; a massive amount of blackout fabric, with lots of little rubber “suckers” attached around the edges. However, once you get it unfolded the instructions are quite detailed and easy to follow, and the manufacturer’s, the Gro Company, claims that it will fit just about any window are pretty well justified (at least in our house – couldn’t find anywhere it didn’t fit!). To attach it to a window you just press the suckers on to the glass and then adjust the hems to the size and shape you need (up to a maximum of 130cm x 200cm). When in place the blind really does block out light effectively, which can make all the difference if you are trying to get little ones off to sleep or want to introduce a regular daytime nap. The carry bag is a bonus and the whole thing takes up very little space when packed away, so it’s easy to carry (it would even fit under a buggy). As far as value for money is concerned, this is a product that will very quickly pay for itself in terms of undisturbed nights. It performs well just about anywhere and is a genuinely useful baby product. As the clocks are about to go forwards and sunnier days are (hopefully) on their way, we think the Gro-Anywhere Blind is a wise investment that will allow you to take trouble-free nights with you wherever you go!
